What Ascendr actually is
Ascendr - PSL Scale Ascender (developer The App Kitchen LLC) scans an uploaded photo for a PSL-style face score, then offers a personalized "ascension" plan. Its App Store listing shows a 4.7-star rating from roughly 780 ratings.
What Ascendr actually costs
Its App Store in-app purchase list shows the same listing — "Ascendr Pro" — repeated nine separate times across seven different prices: $4.99, $6.99, $9.99 (twice), $12.99 (twice), $14.99, $24.99, and $34.99, plus a separate "Twenty Bonus 3D Scans" pack for $5.99.
Mogalytics has exactly one price everywhere: a $12 one-time unlock, no choosing between the same purchase listed eight times over.
What its own App Store reviews say
Two reviewers independently titled their one-star reviews "Cash grab" and "Just a money grab," with one writing "everything is behind a paywall only to not have any profile settings to manage information. Absolutely useless and no support team." A third, titled "Paywall," wrote "u can't do anything like acc nothing unless u pay."
A separate reviewer wrote they requested a refund after discovering the subscription "only get[s] you 1 [scan] per week," calling it "not what I was trying to buy."
Mogalytics never uploads a photo, video frame, or landmark, and charges nothing beyond the one-time unlock — no weekly scan limit to hit. The same six geometry measurements run on a 30-frame trimmed-mean window, disclosed once.
Where Mogalytics actually differs
- No purchase listed nine times over at seven different prices to sort through.
- No photo, video frame, or landmark is ever uploaded — the whole reading runs in your browser.
- One flat $12, one time. No weekly scan ration, no separate "bonus scans" pack.
- Six documented geometry measurements behind the composite reading, shown directly.
What it doesn't do: generate an "ascension" coaching plan, replace a live duel, or guarantee a specific score. It's a private setup-testing instrument, not a coaching subscription. See the practice guide for what it actually measures.
