Credit where it's due: OmoggleMog's own site states plainly, "Your camera feed never leaves your device during the scan. The captured frame is analyzed locally and temporarily held for up to 24 hours." The scan itself running locally is a genuinely privacy-conscious design choice.

The 24-hour hold is a company-set retention window, though — a different property than a frame that is never held by anyone but the user, for any length of time, which is Mogalytics's own design: nothing is ever sent to Mogalytics' servers at all, so there is no retention window to set.

OmoggleMog's four dimensions — camera angle, lighting, expression, background — describe how ready your shot is, not your facial geometry itself. Mogalytics instead reads six facial-geometry ratios (canthal tilt, jaw ratio, cheek ratio, midface, bridge, and symmetry) settled over a 30-frame 10% trimmed-mean window.

Both are legitimate practice framings for the same underlying goal — a more repeatable setup before you queue — they just measure different things. Neither OmoggleMog's site nor Mogalytics claims its number is objective attractiveness.
