Facemax ("Facemax - Face Shape Superlook", Google Play package com.ai.looksmax) is developed by o16i Apps. Its own listing describes AI face shape detection, an attractiveness rating, and personalized looksmax tips built from an uploaded photo.
Third-party app-analytics aggregators (AppBrain, FoxData) put it at 3.69 out of 5 stars from roughly 3,600 ratings and around 230,000 downloads — a real, sizeable user base. Google Play's own listing is JavaScript-rendered and didn't expose these numbers to a direct fetch, so this figure comes from aggregator data, not a quote off Google's own page.
A subscription of unconfirmed price, and an on-device claim next to ad-network sharing
Facemax is free to download, but unlocking full results requires a subscription. Its exact current price couldn't be confirmed through a direct fetch of its own listing. User reviews describe the app collecting a photo first, then prompting for a subscription, and call the premium price "too high" with no free trial offered.
Its own published privacy policy states plainly: "we do not store any of your photos and videos on our servers and any processing activity shall be done solely on your device," with data kept locally "for as long as you use the Services."
That same policy names thirteen third-party advertising partners — AdMob, AdColony, AppLovin, Chocolate Platform, Facebook Audience Network, Index Exchange, Media.net, Mobfox, OpenX, PubMatic, Rubicon, Sharethrough, and Yieldmo — whose SDKs collect data about a user's activity across multiple apps and websites for targeted advertising.

"Facemax" and "FaceMax" are used by several unrelated apps. "FaceMax: Face Rating AI" (developer Karl Stuke) has no App Store ratings yet and prices access under oddly-named tiers ("Clav Weekly," "Clavicular Yearly"). "Facemax - AI face rating" (developer Apperture Labs Limited) shows 3.2 stars from 23 ratings and a "Facemax Pro Weekly" at $4.99.
This page covers only the o16i Apps listing on Google Play — check the developer name before assuming two Facemax listings are the same app.
