Practice guide

One scan is a number. Ten scans are a trend.

It's tempting to treat a single reading as a verdict — good news or bad news, final. It isn't. It's one sample from a setup with a lot of moving parts. The more useful question isn't "what did I get this time," it's "what does my reading do over ten tries."

Why a single reading is a weak signal

An Omoggle-style score reads geometry from whatever frame the camera hands it, averaged over a short window. Distance, angle, light, and expression all move that frame — see the breakdown of why scores swing between scans. Treating one number as a final verdict means treating camera noise as truth. The fix isn't a better single scan, it's more of them.

What a practice log actually shows you

Save a reading every time you practice under roughly the same setup — see the practice guide for what a reproducible setup actually looks like — and a pattern emerges that one scan can't show: whether your most reproducible framing is trending up, flat, or down; which of the six measurements moves the most session to session; and whether a change you made — a different light, a different distance — actually shifted the composite or was noise. That's a trend line, not a guess.

Consistency beats a lucky scan

A single high reading you can't reproduce tells you less than a slightly lower reading you can hit reliably across ten attempts. If you're practicing before queueing into a live duel, the setup you can consistently reproduce under pressure is worth more than the best number you've ever seen once. History is how you find out which setup that is.

Mogalytics keeps the history so you don't have to

Every saved reading — composite score, all six measurements, timestamp — stays in your own browser's local storage, never uploaded. Save after every practice attempt, then compare session to session to see your own trend instead of relying on memory or a single screenshot.

Unlock the live instrument — $12 once for unlimited local session history, session-to-session comparison, and CSV/JSON export of your own trend. No subscription, no free tier.
